Dance Groups and Dances
OlympicPeninsulaDance.com - Is a labor of love by a small group of people (often just one!) passionate about dance on the Olympic Peninsula. It is not affliliated with any organizations (including the Olympic Peninsula Dance Club, though the maintainer(s) of this site are members of that group) but tries to support dance instruction, dance venues, live music, and dance in all forms.
Discovery Dance - Join Discovery Dance the third Friday of each month, September through April for an evening of dancing to live local music. Bring a partner, come alone, or with friends. Veteran dancers are always there to help out and all you need is a willingness to put one foot in front of the other. $12 includes a dance lesson at 7pm, followed by dancing from 8pm to 10:30pm.
Port Townsend Contra and Square Dance - Contra Dances held the second Saturday of each month year round, and Southern Squares on the first Saturday, October through May. Dances open to all--singles, families, newcomers, experienced dancers. Live music, with all dances taught by experienced callers at the Quimper Grange, 1219 Corona St. P.T.
Check PTguide's Event Calendar for all local dances!
